Vice President, Cyber Incident Response & Digital Forensics (DFIR)

About the role

BNY is looking for a Vice President to join its Cybersecurity Platform team in Dublin. The role focuses on cyber incident response and digital forensics (DFIR) within a 24x7 security operations environment, helping to protect the firm’s information assets and strengthen its overall security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Support a 24x7 cyber operations centre by investigating, triaging, and responding to security incidents.
• Utilise tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, and Axiom Forensics for incident analysis and response.
• Collect, interpret, and communicate technical artefacts to executive leadership.
• Perform memory, disk, and image forensics during active investigations.
• Provide senior‑level consultation on the deployment and optimisation of forensics and detection tooling.
• Contribute to security architecture, standards, procedures, and guidelines across multiple platforms.
• Partner with business and infrastructure teams to recommend and implement post‑incident security improvements.

Required profile

• Experienced cybersecurity professional with strong digital forensics and incident response background.
• Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, 24x7 environment.
• Deep technical expertise and strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
