About the role

The Department of Drama in the School of Creative Arts at Trinity College Dublin seeks an Assistant Professor to contribute to teaching, research and administrative activities. The role involves delivering a range of modules in drama, theatre and performance studies across lecture, seminar and studio formats, as well as one‑to‑one mentoring.

Key responsibilities

• Design and teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in drama, theatre and performance.
• Provide studio‑based instruction and individual mentorship to students.
• Supervise and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
• Maintain an active research profile aligned with the expectations of the grade.
• Participate in departmental and school administrative duties.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of university‑level teaching experience.
• Established research record appropriate for an Assistant Professor.
• Ability to deliver instruction in lecture, seminar and studio environments.
• Experience in supervising and mentoring students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Willingness to engage in departmental administration.
