Executive Vice Dean – International Engineering College

About the role

The Executive Vice Dean will lead the Maynooth International Engineering College (MIEC), a joint initiative between Maynooth University and Fuzhou University. Reporting to senior management, the role champions the College’s education and research agenda across both institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑manage MIEC together with the Fuzhou University counterpart.
• Advocate internally and externally for the College’s teaching, research and engagement activities.
• Develop and promote cross‑University and cross‑institutional collaborations in education and research.
• Work closely with the Deputy Vice Dean and the Associate Director of TNE Projects and Partnerships.
• Participate in the Vice President for International’s senior management team, leveraging additional support for strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Established academic with senior leadership experience.
• Proven record in transnational education and international research collaborations.
• Strong understanding of higher‑education policy and public sector pay provisions.
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external advocacy.
