Business Development Manager – Nationwide (SME Focus)

About the role

As a Business Development Manager for eir, you will drive the acquisition of new Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) customers across Ireland. Acting as a brand ambassador, you will use consultative, face‑to‑face selling to expand eir’s market presence and contribute to the company’s purpose of “Connecting for a better Ireland.”

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and win new SME customers within an assigned territory.
• Develop and execute structured action plans to grow the sales pipeline.
• Deliver professional, personalised presentations and consultative sales discussions in person.
• Build trusted relationships from first contact through to point of sale.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and quality KPIs.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of competitor activity, market trends and eir product portfolio.
• Accurately record activity and sales data in internal systems and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Proven success in sales or business development, preferably within the telecom sector.
• Strong communication, presentation and objection‑handling abilities.
• Highly target‑driven with a results‑oriented mindset.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and able to work independently while contributing to a team culture.
• Full, clean Irish or EU driving licence.
