Buyer/Planner

About the role

As a Buyer/Planner at MAHLE you will act as the primary point of contact for our supply base, handling contract negotiations, purchase order issuance, and supplier relationship management. The role demands strong analytical abilities, the capacity to influence decisions, and the skill to manage inventory and quality issues within budget constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Issue purchase orders and EDI releases for materials and services.
• Maintain and develop supplier relationships.
• Conduct analysis to support inventory management and budgeting.
• Collaborate with quality teams to resolve stock issues.
• Support lean initiatives by ensuring transparent ordering and efficient inventory turns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field, or 8 years of relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of direct experience in a similar role preferred.
• Strong computer skills in SAP.
• Proven problem‑solving ability with statistical analysis experience.
• Excellent written and presentation skills.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and aligned with company values.
