Construction Contracts Manager – South East Region

About the role

An established residential construction business is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of multiple housing developments across the South East region. This senior operational role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee residential developments from mobilisation through hand‑over, ensuring consistent delivery standards.
• Lead Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers and Foremen, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Review and manage project programmes, construction sequencing and delivery milestones, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Collaborate with commercial teams on budgets, procurement strategies and cost performance.
• Maintain quality, compliance and BCAR requirements, supporting value‑engineering initiatives.
• Promote health and safety compliance, working with EHS teams to sustain safe site operations.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with consultants, subcontractors, utilities and local authorities, providing regular updates to senior management.

Required profile

• 10‑15+ years of experience in construction delivery, preferably in residential housing.
• Background with a developer, self‑build business or Tier 1/2 contractor.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑site teams and drive performance.
• Strong commercial discipline and experience with budgeting and procurement.
