Construction & Development Manager – Residential Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Construction & Development Manager to join a Tier‑1 residential development contractor’s Dublin team. The role will support senior leadership in delivering large‑scale housing projects across Greater Dublin, overseeing the full project lifecycle from feasibility to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Construction & Development Director in progressing projects from feasibility and technical due diligence through to completion.
• Conduct technical reviews of engineering and architectural designs to ensure buildability, cost efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams including architects, civil, structural and MEP engineers, planning and cost consultants.
• Support preparation and submission of planning applications and manage design development through pre‑construction.
• Participate in contractor procurement, tender evaluation and review of technical submissions and programmes.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, health & safety compliance and programme delivery on site.
• Ensure adherence to Irish Building Regulations, BCAR requirements and relevant technical standards.
• Assist with financial appraisal, budget monitoring, cash‑flow forecasting and management of variations and claims.

Required profile

• Qualified engineer or construction professional with proven project delivery experience.
• Prior Irish site‑based experience in residential construction.
• EU/UK passport or appropriate working visa (no sponsorship available).
• Strong technical judgement, proactive risk management and commercial awareness.
