Data Centre Operations Integration Technician

About the role

The Data Centre Operations Integration Technician will act as the bridge between construction teams and site operations, ensuring new data‑centre builds are handed over safely and efficiently. Reporting to the Operational Integration Supervisor, you will help minimise risk while building technical knowledge of the facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate new data‑centre buildings into the Site Operations team and develop deep knowledge of technical systems.
• Create and maintain operational documentation (EOPs, SOPs, MOPs, drill procedures) aligned with client standards.
• Audit subcontractor work, enforce quality, health & safety and environmental policies.
• Develop switching schedules, risk assessments, and control measures in collaboration with Technical Supervisors.
• Process and approve CMOPs and method statements; attend shutdowns, isolations, and commissioning activities.
• Generate technical reports, report health‑safety breaches, and manage warranty and critical spares for new builds.
• Act as the operational advocate during start‑up, attend integration and commissioning meetings, and support vendor training programmes.

Required profile

• Fully verifiable trade qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in data‑centre or construction handover environments.
• Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and risk‑assessment processes.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and work collaboratively with operations and construction teams.
