Device Technician – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Device Technician to join a leading multinational pharmaceutical manufacturer in Sligo on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. The role involves working on production lines, preparing and operating a range of specialised equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and operate moulding, automated assembly, pad printing and manual assembly equipment.
• Troubleshoot day‑to‑day manufacturing issues affecting efficiency, safety or quality.
• Perform quality checks, meet production quality targets and document activities in line with GMP.
• Supply materials to operations and equipment safely and on time.
• Label and pack components and finished products.
• Operate coordinate measuring equipment and other advanced metrology tools.
• Run fully automated, computer‑controlled systems, including robotic and vision technologies.
• Participate in new product introduction and improvement projects.
• Reset equipment as needed to maintain product quality.
• Provide cross‑training, mentor new team members and contribute to continuous improvement programmes.

Required profile

• Secondary School Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Willingness to undergo annual vision and colour‑blindness testing.
