About the role
We are seeking a Device Technician to join a leading multinational pharmaceutical manufacturer in Sligo on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. The role involves working on production lines, preparing and operating a range of specialised equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and operate moulding, automated assembly, pad printing and manual assembly equipment.
- Troubleshoot day‑to‑day manufacturing issues affecting efficiency, safety or quality.
- Perform quality checks, meet production quality targets and document activities in line with GMP.
- Supply materials to operations and equipment safely and on time.
- Label and pack components and finished products.
- Operate coordinate measuring equipment and other advanced metrology tools.
- Run fully automated, computer‑controlled systems, including robotic and vision technologies.
- Participate in new product introduction and improvement projects.
- Reset equipment as needed to maintain product quality.
- Provide cross‑training, mentor new team members and contribute to continuous improvement programmes.
Required profile
- Secondary School Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Willingness to undergo annual vision and colour‑blindness testing.
