Director of Operations

About the role

ROSS Commissioning is launching a new, strategically important entity within the ROSS Group and seeks a Director of Operations to shape its technical strategy, build high‑performing teams and deliver end‑to‑end commissioning solutions for global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategy, structure and growth plan for the new ROSS Commissioning entity.
• Recruit, mentor and lead a balanced technical team ranging from senior experts to early‑career engineers and tradespeople.
• Lead front‑end technical engagement with clients, including solution development, design strategy and bid support.
• Drive new business through technical excellence, supporting proposals, pursuits and innovation initiatives.
• Collaborate with ROSS engineering groups to expand in‑house design, manufacture and delivery capabilities.
• Ensure technical quality, governance and consistency across all projects and client interactions.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in technical or commissioning environments.
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale high‑performing technical teams.
• Strong client‑facing skills with experience shaping solutions and supporting complex bids.
• Willingness to travel internationally for project mobilisation and on‑site problem solving.
