Director of Project Management – AI & Data Program

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Director of Project Management to lead the delivery of a flagship AI program within its AI & Data organization. You will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of advanced modeling initiatives, ensuring predictable and transparent execution across data ingestion, model validation, and product integration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full program lifecycle from data curation and infrastructure scaling to model deployment.
• Establish and maintain program‑level planning, roadmaps, milestones, and cross‑functional dependencies.
• Serve as the primary bridge between AI researchers, data engineers, product leaders, and business stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate risks such as compute constraints, data quality issues, and evolving technical requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Mastercard’s AI governance, data privacy, and ethical modeling standards.
• Provide high‑signal reporting on program health, resource utilization, and delivery milestones to senior leadership.
• Continuously improve delivery frameworks to accelerate insight while maintaining financial‑grade reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large, complex programs in AI, Machine Learning, or Big Data.
• Deep fluency with massive, high‑velocity transactional datasets.
• Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to translate technical objectives into executable plans.
• Strong risk‑management and governance mindset in a regulated environment.
