EHS Advisor

About the role

The EHS Advisor will lead the environmental, health and safety agenda for Viatris’ Galway manufacturing sites, ensuring compliance with legislation and promoting a culture of safety.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure site operations comply with the Health, Safety and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and related regulations.
• Develop, implement and maintain EHS policies, procedures and risk‑assessment programmes.
• Lead incident investigations and coordinate internal EHS audits.
• Manage staff training on EHS matters and maintain monthly EHS metrics.
• Oversee waste management in line with the Waste Management Act 1996.
• Support the development of the site industrial hygiene programme and emergency response plan.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Irish health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset with ability to influence at all organisational levels.
• Excellent communication and investigative skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Health, Safety and Welfare at Work Act 2005.
• Knowledge of the Waste Management Act 1996.
• Experience with risk assessments, incident investigation and EHS audit processes.
