About the role
The EHS Advisor will lead the environmental, health and safety agenda for Viatris’ Galway manufacturing sites, ensuring compliance with legislation and promoting a culture of safety.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure site operations comply with the Health, Safety and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and related regulations.
- Develop, implement and maintain EHS policies, procedures and risk‑assessment programmes.
- Lead incident investigations and coordinate internal EHS audits.
- Manage staff training on EHS matters and maintain monthly EHS metrics.
- Oversee waste management in line with the Waste Management Act 1996.
- Support the development of the site industrial hygiene programme and emergency response plan.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of Irish health, safety and environmental legislation.
- Proactive problem‑solving mindset with ability to influence at all organisational levels.
- Excellent communication and investigative skills.
Required skills
- Knowledge of the Health, Safety and Welfare at Work Act 2005.
- Knowledge of the Waste Management Act 1996.
- Experience with risk assessments, incident investigation and EHS audit processes.
