Enhanced/Staff Nurse – Community Based Service

About the role

We are seeking two permanent Enhanced/Staff Nurses to join our growing community‑based day and residential service in Gort, County Galway. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality nursing care to adults with intellectual disabilities and complex needs, supporting them to achieve maximum independence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical nursing assessments, interventions and ongoing care for service users.
• Educate and support support workers, families and carers on health‑related matters.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including the Team Leader, Service Co‑ordinator and Area Manager.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Promote the physical, social and emotional wellbeing of individuals in both day‑based and residential settings.

Required profile

• Current registration on the Live Register (NMBI) – RNID or RGN qualification is highly desirable.
• Full clean manual driving licence and access to a car.
• Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and complex needs (training provided).
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in basic IT applications.
