Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join a leading shipping and logistics company in Cork. In this permanent, onsite position you will partner with business unit leaders to drive financial performance and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Own the annual budgeting process across all business units.
• Lead quarterly forecasting cycles, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate strategy.
• Develop and maintain dynamic financial models to support business initiatives.
• Act as a key finance partner to business unit leads, providing insights and decision‑making tools.
• Support operational teams with financial analysis and reporting.
• Take full ownership of management reporting and KPI tracking.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, tools, and systems.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred.
• Proven experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Commercial instinct combined with a strategic outlook.
• Confident, personable and able to build relationships at all levels.
