Financial Accountant

About the role

DACHSER is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Irish finance function. Reporting to the UK and Ireland Finance Director, you will act as a key liaison for financial matters across departments and support cross‑border finance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage key aspects of the P&L overhead and balance sheet.
• Prepare and analyse reports for the German head office.
• Lead year‑end audit and tax reporting, including Pillar II compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and balance‑sheet matrices.
• Drive improvements in tracking and reporting processes.
• Support budgeting, re‑forecasting and overhead cost control with the Controlling department.
• Serve as the primary contact for finance systems and ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Professional accountancy qualification or progressing towards one.
• 1‑2 years of relevant industry or practice experience.
• Resilient, flexible and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
• Experience using SAP.
