Graphic Designer – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract (Hybrid)

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position supports a government body’s marketing team, delivering brand‑led visual communications across digital and print channels. The role is hybrid, with three days onsite in Dublin and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Produce consistent, brand‑aligned designs for a variety of marketing materials.
• Translate briefs into clear, creative outputs for both digital and print formats.
• Develop and maintain branded templates, toolkits, and visual systems.
• Create high‑quality graphics, layouts, and illustrations using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ensure strong typography, layout, and visual hierarchy across all outputs.
• Adapt assets for reports, presentations, social media, events, and other channels.
• Maintain and expand a central image bank.
• Collaborate with marketing colleagues, copywriters, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
• Apply and refine brand guidelines to guarantee consistency.
• Review and refine designs based on feedback and channel requirements.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen brand consistency and improve output.

Required profile

• Level 8 qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in corporate, public‑sector or agency environments.
• Proven ability to work within established brand guidelines and campaign settings.
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Experience producing digital and print‑ready assets across multiple formats.
