About the role
We are looking for an ambitious Internal Audit Manager to join our growing organisation operating across Ireland and the UK. Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, you will lead the delivery of the annual audit plan, provide insight to senior leadership and help shape a robust control environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing the annual internal audit plan.
- Lead planning, execution and reporting of financial and operational audit assignments.
- Deliver high‑quality audit findings with practical recommendations to improve controls and governance.
- Monitor emerging risks, regulatory changes and advise management on implications.
- Build strong relationships with senior finance and operational stakeholders.
- Support enhancement of audit methodologies using technology, AI and data analytics.
- Identify operational efficiencies and margin‑enhancing opportunities through audit reviews and site visits.
- Promote a strong risk and control culture across the organisation.
- Assist with reporting to senior leadership and group‑level stakeholders.
Required profile
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years post‑qualified experience in internal or external audit, preferably in industry or a Top 10 practice.
- Strong understanding of risk management, governance, internal controls and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent report writing, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Commercially minded with solid financial acumen and core accounting knowledge.
- Ability to plan, execute and deliver audit assignments independently.
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally within Ireland and the UK.
