Internal Repair Technician

About the role

The Internal Repair Technician will join Fannin Ltd.'s Community Care Services team in Rathcoole, providing on‑site service and maintenance for a range of medical equipment. You will ensure that devices such as wheelchairs, hospital beds and patient lifting systems are safe, functional and compliant with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Service, diagnose and repair medical equipment, including 12‑24 V DC devices.
• Perform fault finding using a multimeter and other diagnostic tools.
• Organise and manage repair throughput and maintain an up‑to‑date call list.
• Update the IT service and repair system with accurate records.
• Requisition spare parts in collaboration with the procurement team and manage personal stock.
• Attend mandatory internal and external training courses.
• Ensure compliance with company, EHS and customer site regulations.
• Participate in cross‑functional teams as required.

Required profile

• Full, clean driving licence.
• Previous experience in a similar service‑oriented role.
• Basic understanding of DC current and fault‑finding techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Customer‑focused with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Experience with 12‑24 V DC equipment.
• Proficiency in fault finding using a multimeter.
• Competence with MS Office applications.
