Medical Science Liaison / Medical Advisor – Oncology (Hybrid)

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison/Medical Advisor will join AstraZeneca’s Oncology team in Dublin, working 50% in the field and 50% in the office. The role serves as the primary medical and scientific contact for assigned oncology products, engaging with internal teams, key external experts, healthcare professionals, and clinical investigators to exchange scientific information in a non‑promotional context.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for medical/scientific queries related to assigned oncology products.
• Engage with key opinion leaders and external experts to identify unmet medical needs and evidence gaps.
• Deliver scientific presentations and facilitate non‑promotional exchanges aligned with global and local Medical Affairs plans.
• Develop and implement a local medical plan that addresses unmet needs and aligns with the brand strategy.
• Participate in national and international congresses, symposia, and AstraZeneca scientific events.
• Support cross‑functional teams in medical education, scientific exchange, insight gathering, and evidence generation.
• Maintain and grow relationships with key opinion leaders and provide medical‑scientific training to internal personnel.
