Jetty Operator – Dublin

About the role

The Jetty Operator will be based at Dublin Port, supporting GAC Shipping Ireland’s vessel loading and discharge operations. The role ensures safe and efficient handling of ships, loading arms, gangways and off‑loading equipment while maintaining strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Secure vessels by correctly mooring them and aligning with shore loading arms.
• Set up, monitor and maintain gangways to provide safe access for crew during discharge.
• Connect and disconnect off‑loading equipment such as hoses, loading arms and spool pieces.
• Adjust connections and operate valves to facilitate safe and efficient product discharge.
• Take ship samples as required and perform line walks and repetitive checks throughout operations.
• Complete all required documentation accurately.

Required profile

• Strong appreciation for a proactive safety culture.
• Effective communication skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Marine or terminal experience is desirable but not essential.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Manual handling and First Aid certificates are advantageous.
