Lead Site Reliability Engineer – Infrastructure Operations

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability, performance and scalability of its Payments Network infrastructure. You will work within a dedicated SRE team to continuously assess and improve the end‑to‑end service quality of critical applications, ensuring they meet the highest security and availability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead continuous assessments of application infrastructure, focusing on health, performance, monitoring, alerting and capacity analysis.
• Collaborate with product and development teams to forecast growth, plan capacity and guarantee scalability and resiliency.
• Champion observability by identifying gaps in monitoring and alerting, and designing strategies to close them.
• Integrate telemetry into a unified, single‑pane‑of‑glass view and build custom dashboards for deep analysis.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of complex incidents and drive regular incident reviews with internal support teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading SRE or reliability engineering initiatives in large‑scale, high‑transaction environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for capacity forecasting and performance trends.
• Excellent communication skills to influence product and engineering stakeholders.
