Lead Software Engineer – Cloud‑Native Analytics Platform

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a hands‑on Lead Software Engineer to shape the architecture and delivery of its next‑generation experimentation platform. You will work within the Business Experimentation and Optimization team to build scalable, cloud‑native services that enable global customers to make data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑performance, cloud‑native services and APIs on AWS and Azure.
• Define system architecture and non‑functional requirements such as scalability, security, reliability, and observability.
• Guide cross‑functional teams in implementing modern data‑analytics capabilities using Databricks.
• Collaborate with global engineering groups to align on shared goals and deliver enterprise‑grade solutions.
• Mentor engineers, promote best practices, and champion continuous delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software development teams in a cloud environment.
• Strong understanding of building scalable, secure, and reliable services.
• Ability to work across time zones and communicate technical vision effectively.
