Legal Counsel (Reinsurance)

About the role

We are looking for a commercially‑minded transactions lawyer with 2–4 years post‑qualification experience to join our Legal team. The role supports our global reinsurance business across EMEA, the US and APAC, drafting and reviewing contract wordings and participating in negotiations on high‑value transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate reinsurance and related agreements.
• Analyse contract terms to ensure alignment with business intent and corporate requirements.
• Collaborate with the global Legal team and external counsel on complex legal matters.
• Develop expertise in reinsurance law under the guidance of senior colleagues.
• Support compliance frameworks and commercial projects as needed.

• Commercial mindset with the ability to translate complex legal language into clear business terms.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability and a collaborative approach.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within the insurance/reinsurance sector.
• Effective communication skills for internal and client interactions.
