About the role

The Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board is seeking a qualified post‑primary teacher to deliver Mathematics and Geography at Meánscoil San Nioclás for the 2026/27 academic year. This part‑time, pro‑rata position is split into two 11‑hour blocks, supporting a career break and a job‑share arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess curriculum‑aligned lessons in Mathematics and Geography for post‑primary students.
• Provide learning support and guidance in line with the Teaching Council’s Code of Professional Conduct.
• Collaborate with a job‑share partner to ensure seamless coverage of the 22‑hour weekly timetable.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to school development initiatives.

Required profile

• Suitable teaching qualifications and registration with the Teaching Council.
• Ability to work a pro‑rata schedule of 22 hours per week, divided into two 11‑hour blocks.
