About the role
The Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board is seeking a qualified post‑primary teacher to deliver Mathematics and Geography at Meánscoil San Nioclás for the 2026/27 academic year. This part‑time, pro‑rata position is split into two 11‑hour blocks, supporting a career break and a job‑share arrangement.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess curriculum‑aligned lessons in Mathematics and Geography for post‑primary students.
- Provide learning support and guidance in line with the Teaching Council’s Code of Professional Conduct.
- Collaborate with a job‑share partner to ensure seamless coverage of the 22‑hour weekly timetable.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to school development initiatives.
Required profile
- Suitable teaching qualifications and registration with the Teaching Council.
- Ability to work a pro‑rata schedule of 22 hours per week, divided into two 11‑hour blocks.
- Commitment to inclusive, student‑centred education and professional standards.
