Multimedia Content Creator (Video & Photography)

About the role

Smyths Toys is looking for a dynamic Multimedia Content Creator to join its in‑house design team at the Galway head office. You will be responsible for turning a vast range of toys into engaging video, photography and social‑media assets that drive online sales and brand awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end video production: ideation, storyboarding, scripting, filming, editing and post‑production.
• Create high‑energy “hero” videos for the website and platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Facebook.
• Plan and execute product photography sessions in‑studio and on‑location, including set styling and prop sourcing.
• Edit and retouch images for e‑commerce sites, social channels and print catalogues.
• Collaborate with marketing, buying and brand teams to ensure content aligns with campaign goals and brand guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience shooting professional video and product photography.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced retail environment and manage multiple projects.
• Full, clean driver’s licence, access to a vehicle and willingness to travel for on‑location shoots.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and detail‑orientation skills.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite – Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects.
• Mobile editing tools such as CapCut.
• Proficiency in video editing, colour grading and image retouching.
