Non-Consultant Hospital Doctor – Psychiatry (Fixed‑Term Registrar)

About the role

This fixed‑term position is for a Non‑Consultant Hospital Doctor (Registrar level) in general adult inpatient and community psychiatry. It offers the chance to develop a career in psychiatry within a leading academic and clinical environment, supported by a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adult in‑patient and community mental health patients.
• Participate fully in the teaching programme for RCSI students and other NCHDs.
• Contribute to clinical audit activities and quality improvement projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver comprehensive mental health care.

Required profile

• Medical degree and current registration with the Irish Medical Council.
• Previous experience in psychiatry is preferred.
• Experience working in the Irish health‑care system is desirable.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland, including appropriate immigration status and English language proficiency.
