About the role
Optum is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join its Drug Intelligence team. In this full‑time position you will support the OptumRx Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee by evaluating clinical evidence and producing drug monographs that guide formulary decisions. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both from our Dublin office and remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret and summarize medical literature, clinical guidelines, and therapeutic evidence.
- Write, peer‑review, and present drug monographs and class reviews.
- Provide clear, evidence‑based insights to Clinical Leadership, the National Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, and cross‑functional partners.
- Collaborate with business units on strategic initiatives, special projects, and safe medication use.
- Respond to drug information inquiries with thoroughly researched answers.
- Develop clinical position statements and support formulary strategy.
Required profile
- Current, unrestricted pharmacist licensure.
- Solid experience as a clinical pharmacist or completion of a pharmacy residency with managed‑care or drug‑information focus.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and critically appraise clinical evidence.
Required skills
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Broad knowledge of clinical therapeutics and drug information.
- Ability to present complex clinical data to diverse stakeholders.
