Production Operative – Food Manufacturing

About the role

Sofina Foods is looking for a reliable Production Operative to join its food manufacturing team. You will work on the shop floor, ensuring that meat products are prepared, inspected, and dispatched to the highest quality standards while maintaining strict hygiene and safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Cut and trim meat to exact specifications.
• Adjust machinery settings to meet product requirements.
• Inspect products for size, weight, colour, and packaging quality.
• Identify faults and resolve or report issues promptly.
• Prepare goods for dispatch, including packing, labeling, and wrapping.
• Support goods‑in and goods‑out processes.
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
• Perform additional tasks as trained and required.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills, both internal and external.
• Effective team player who works calmly under pressure.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions and follow established frameworks.
• High attention to detail with accurate reporting.
