Production Operator – GMP Manufacturing

About the role

Join a leading global pharmaceutical company as a Production Operator in Carlow. You will work in a GMP‑regulated cleanroom environment, supporting the safe and reliable manufacture of sterile pharmaceutical products.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment using MES, DCS and PLC systems.
• Prepare equipment and manage materials for manufacturing runs.
• Perform cleanroom cleaning, housekeeping and routine inspections.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
• Follow GMP procedures, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects, investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Assist with SOP updates, training activities and operational documentation.

Required profile

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably within a GMP environment.
• Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• MES (Manufacturing Execution System) operation.
• DCS (Distributed Control System) familiarity.
• PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) handling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
