Production Operator – Infant Formula Manufacturing

About the role

The Operator will work on the Macroom Supply Point, a strategic spray‑drying plant that produces infant formula for Danone’s network. You will execute production tasks safely, efficiently and in line with strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to meet daily production targets and KPIs.
• Maintain the highest standards of product quality, hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practice.
• Ensure safe working practices and proper housekeeping throughout the shift.
• Collaborate with Shift Manager, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering and Maintenance to optimise output, quality and cost.
• Keep work areas and equipment well maintained for optimal performance.
• Participate in initiatives to improve product quality and process efficiency.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in manual and automated settings.
• Logical, methodical approach with strong written and verbal communication.
• Flexible, enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills.
• Resilient personality capable of handling stressful, challenging situations.
• Willingness to work on a shift rota and perform continuous standing or walking.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) or similar manufacturing software.
• Knowledge of international Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Housekeeping Practice (GHP) standards.
• Familiarity with quality and food‑safety legislation is desirable.
