Production Operator – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (Carlow)

About the role

Join a leading global pharmaceutical company as a Production Operator in Carlow. You will be part of the Integrated Production Team (IPT), supporting the manufacture and reliable supply of sterile products while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production activities using MES, DCS and PLC‑based systems.
• Perform room cleaning, housekeeping and materials management across all production areas.
• Manage equipment flow, track hold times, label and maintain inventory of clean and sterile equipment using Kanban and automated MES tools.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair process equipment where qualified.
• Contribute to writing, revising and rolling out operational procedures and training materials.
• Adhere to global policies, regulatory requirements and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

Required profile

• Experience with sterile filling processes and related equipment.
• Knowledge of Irish, European and international regulatory codes.
• Strong report, standards and policy writing abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and job‑related computer applications.
• Leaving Certificate or equivalent; apprenticeship, certificate or diploma in a related discipline is preferred.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably GMP‑regulated.
