Production Shift Manager – Finishing & Packing

About the role

Elis is seeking a Production Shift Manager to lead the finishing and packing operations at its Tallaght site. This hands‑on leadership position is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality production while supporting team development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to meet quality, output, and efficiency targets.
• Plan and allocate resources, ensuring optimal staffing and workflow.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives across processes and workplace organisation.
• Monitor key performance indicators, analyse data and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and promote a strong safety culture.
• Coach and develop team leaders and production staff to achieve high performance.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Transport, and Service departments for seamless operations.
• Contribute to operational planning, budgeting and strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production, manufacturing, logistics or a similar environment.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is essential.
• Strong organisational, communication and people‑management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Results‑driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to work across shifts as required.
