Production Team Leader

About the role

Sanmina Fermoy is seeking a Production Team Leader to manage a 12‑hour shift operation in our FDA‑registered, ISO 13485:2016 certified facility. You will oversee production operators, ensure product quality, and drive productivity for high‑value PCBAs and medical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team to meet and exceed hourly and daily output targets while maintaining 100% productivity.
• Act as the guardian of quality, ensuring all products comply with ISO 13485 standards and addressing deviations immediately.
• Conduct start‑up meetings each shift to align on quality, safety, and production goals.
• Manage shift coverage, holiday scheduling, and payroll accuracy.
• Monitor and reduce scrap levels, enforcing strict adherence to work instructions.
• Oversee onboarding, buddy system, and continuous training for new hires.
• Perform attendance management, performance reviews, and employee relations handling.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading production teams in a shift‑based, manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with medical device or electronics manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, especially ISO 13485.
• Ability to manage people, schedules, and operational metrics effectively.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 13485 quality standards.
• Experience with PCB assembly processes.
