Project Manager – Renewable Energy

About the role

GP Joule EPC Ireland Ltd is seeking an energetic and proactive Project Manager to lead utility‑scale solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. You will be responsible for delivering projects from tender through to client handover, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all phases of the project life cycle, from contract award through planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Act as the central point of contact for customers, suppliers, and subcontractors while coordinating with internal procurement and engineering teams.
• Manage contracts, including changes and claims, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
• Direct external partners to guarantee timely delivery of components and services.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, quality standards, costs, and cash flows.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to the Country Manager and senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience as a Cost Engineer or Quantity Surveyor (knowledge of CESSIM or similar is desirable).
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience on large‑scale infrastructure works in renewable energy, power, or civil engineering, preferably Solar PV or wind.
• Strong knowledge of contract management and standard forms such as FIDIC.
• Familiarity with project management frameworks like PMBOK or PRINCE2.
