Senior Accountant (Dublin)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Senior Accountant to join our progressive team in Dublin. The role offers exposure to a broad client portfolio, covering accounting, audit, tax compliance and business advisory, while providing a fast‑paced, professional environment for growth.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise closely with clients, delivering proactive advice and services.
• Provide audit, taxation, accountancy and business advisory services.
• Prepare and review high‑quality financial statements.
• Lead audit assignments independently and ensure timely partner review.
• Prepare month‑end management accounts within strict deadlines.
• Research and resolve technical accounting and taxation queries.
• Prepare and submit Corporation Tax Returns and Company Secretarial Returns.
• Assist with Income Tax Returns and meet ROS filing deadlines.
• Train and mentor junior staff.
• Support ad‑hoc projects across diverse industries.

Required profile

• 3–5 years’ experience in a small or medium‑sized Irish accountancy practice.
• Proven ability to lead audits independently.
• Broad exposure to tax, audit and accounting within general practice.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory; part‑qualified candidates considered.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accountancy practice software such as Surf Accounts, Relate or Sage (or similar).
