Senior Associate – Environment & Planning Lawyer

About the role

William Fry LLP is seeking a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Environment and Planning Unit within the Dispute Resolution Department. The role offers the chance to work on high‑stakes, complex litigation and advisory matters for leading domestic and international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on environmental and planning law issues.
• Draft and review complex legal documents, pleadings, and submissions.
• Manage and lead client interactions throughout the lifecycle of disputes.
• Conduct detailed legal research and prepare robust case strategies.
• Collaborate with senior partners and other practice groups on multi‑disciplinary projects.

Required profile

• Strong academic background with a law degree.
• 4‑6 years of post‑qualification experience in environment and planning matters.
• Commercially focused with the ability to balance client needs and business objectives.
• Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Resilient, flexible and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
