Senior Commercial Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial activity of our busy office. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will work closely with the sales team and wider commercial network to drive revenue, manage pricing policies and support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and maintain sea‑freight pricing policy in line with head‑office guidelines.
• Oversee pricing policies, liaising with trade managers and internal sales teams.
• Manage the approved commercial budget, review performance and identify improvement areas.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers and develop new account opportunities.
• Stay informed on industry trends and recommend business‑development initiatives.
• Attend client site visits, overseas trade meetings and support global agents.
• Lead and develop local trade managers and the broader commercial team.
• Prepare performance and statistical reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Proven track record in a fast‑paced commercial environment.
• Experience developing commercial sales processes and systems.
• Global international experience within the shipping industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage key stakeholder relationships.
• Motivated, ambitious and capable of leading a diverse team.
