Senior Consultant – Financial Control

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join the Financial Control team within the Omnium Services Group EMEA at Northern Trust. The role offers exposure to hedge fund administration, covering the full trade lifecycle and interaction with sophisticated clients across multiple product types.

Key responsibilities

• Fund Accounting – prepare and review operating expenses, produce month‑end close packs, validate NAVs and related accounting records.
• Investor Accounting – allocate profit and loss, calculate management and performance fees, ensure accurate investor statements.
• Financial Reporting – assist in annual financial statement preparation, liaise with external auditors and coordinate audit requests.
• Regulatory Reporting – support monthly and quarterly regulatory filings and contribute to projects enhancing reporting services for MMIF, FVCs and SPVs.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) or working towards qualification.
• Understanding of hedge funds and alternative investment structures is advantageous.
• Knowledge of financial reporting standards, including US GAAP and IFRS.
