Senior Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

Rendel Ingerop is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join its newly launched Dublin office. You will work on major infrastructure, transportation and energy projects in Ireland and internationally, collaborating within a small, multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver geotechnical engineering assignments across project stages from conceptual to detailed design.
• Perform geotechnical design, analysis, and finite element modelling, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
• Review internal and third‑party designs, conduct value engineering, and propose technical improvements.
• Prepare drawings, reports, calculations, and specifications for internal and client review.
• Carry out site inspections, investigations, and supervision, liaising with designers and contractors.
• Manage project budgets, programmes, and client relationships, monitoring progress and reporting updates.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines and external professionals to integrate geotechnical solutions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in geotechnical engineering on infrastructure, transportation or energy projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage client interfaces.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in value engineering and design optimisation.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
