Senior Java Developer – Galway, Ireland

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our technology team in Galway. The role is full‑time, permanent and requires you to work on‑site five days a week, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality enterprise solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based applications using J2EE and Spring Framework.
• Implement and consume RESTful APIs to integrate with internal and external services.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration pipelines.
• Collaborate with database administrators to optimise Oracle and DB2 queries and PL/SQL procedures.
• Support DevOps initiatives, including CI/CD automation with Jenkins and ServiceNow.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented design and enterprise architecture.
• Proven ability to work on‑site in a team‑oriented environment.
