Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Lead (Days)

About the role

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer Lead provides technical support to resolve production issues, drive scrap reduction, and improve throughput within a high‑volume moulding environment. The role combines hands‑on problem solving with leadership of a high‑performing engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for machine, tool, and process issues to meet production targets.
• Lead root‑cause investigations and continuous‑improvement projects across tooling, equipment, and processes.
• Coordinate engineering support for moulding operations and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
• Manage training, documentation, and maintenance procedures for tooling and equipment.
• Liaise with equipment vendors and program management teams.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and quality programs, including deviation and change‑control recording.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate a high‑performing engineering team.

Required profile

• Honours degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical, Applied Physics, Electronic, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience with cleanroom procedures and medical moulding is desirable.
• Familiarity with process set‑up, validation, and execution of IQ, OQ, PQ studies.
