Senior Project Manager – Renewable Energy

About the role

This senior position leads the delivery of large‑scale renewable energy projects across Ireland, covering wind, solar, battery storage and grid‑related developments. You will oversee projects from early‑stage planning through construction, commissioning and operational readiness, ensuring they meet safety, efficiency and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead large‑scale renewable energy projects through all development phases.
• Manage planning, permitting, construction, commissioning and operational readiness.
• Oversee budgets, procurement, contracts and commercial performance.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships with contractors, regulators, consultants and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with planning, environmental and grid requirements.
• Drive project governance, risk management and reporting to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in Engineering, Business, Project Management or a related discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience delivering large‑scale infrastructure or energy projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a project‑management role within the energy sector.
• Strong commercial and financial management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Irish planning, regulatory, environmental and grid frameworks.
• PMP certification or equivalent is desirable.
