Senior SAP Functional Analyst – Systems Configurator

About the role

General Motors is transforming its transportation ecosystem and needs a senior SAP Functional Analyst to design, configure, and support SAP solutions across the end‑to‑end value chain. You will work with cross‑functional teams in product lifecycle, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics and order management to translate business needs into robust SAP configurations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SAP configuration and solution design for core processes such as Order‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to‑Pay, Production Planning & Execution.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and create functional designs.
• Support and extend SAP modules, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and GM’s IT delivery methodology.
• Drive process improvements through automation, standardisation and optimisation of master data.
• Contribute to GM’s migration to S/4HANA and SaaS‑first solutions, rationalising the SAP landscape.

Required profile

• Strong experience in one or more SAP modules (e.g., SD, FI‑CO, MM, PP, WM, EWM, Ariba).
• Proven ability to work with global, cross‑functional teams in a complex, regulated environment.
• Excellent analytical skills to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration is a plus.
