Shift Lead – Retail Operations (Cork, Ireland)

About the role

The Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing the fill operation on the sales floor, ensuring the store is ready to trade each day. This role coordinates resources, coaches colleagues and maintains a safe, clean, and customer‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the fill operation and act as the floor lead when the Colleague Manager is absent.
• Coordinate and allocate resources to deliver a quick payment experience and operational tasks.
• Coach colleagues on the One Best Way methodology and drive productivity.
• Ensure daily operational processes are executed efficiently and at the correct times.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well‑presented store environment.
• Model excellent customer service and M&S behaviours across the store.
• Support Colleague Managers by sharing observations and recognising high performance.
• Act as a key holder, handle opening/closing duties, cash handling, temperature controls and log operational issues.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to lead and coach a retail team.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Willingness to act as a key holder and respond to call‑outs.
• Ability to follow and enforce store policies and compliance standards.
