Software Engineer III – Google Compute Engine Fleet Management

About the role

Google Cloud is seeking a Software Engineer III to work on the Google Compute Engine (GCE) Node organization, focusing on fleet management. You will design and build scalable software components that power cloud infrastructure for billions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable software components for GCE Node platforms.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.
• Contribute to architectural design and technical direction within the Google Cloud ecosystem.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of software development experience in C++, Java, Python, or Go.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
