Software Engineer - Platform

About the role

This high‑impact position focuses on building and scaling the core infrastructure behind a next‑generation database platform used by globally demanding applications. You will work on distributed backend systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and an excellent developer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core platform components that support high‑scale database workloads.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to solve distributed‑system challenges, performance bottlenecks, and reliability issues.
• Work autonomously to analyze and resolve technical and business problems with minimal supervision.
• Engage directly with customers to translate requirements into platform improvements.
• Debug, maintain, and enhance large‑scale codebases while upholding quality standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, primarily on backend, distributed, or infrastructure systems.
• Strong autonomy and ability to make sound technical decisions independently.
• Proven track record of delivering production‑grade distributed systems.
• Experience in high‑growth engineering environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go.
• Experience with Python, Java, or C++.
• Solid understanding of relational databases such as MySQL.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and containerised cloud‑native environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and observability tooling.
