Software Engineer, Staff (Open Source Engineering)

About the role

Join Qualcomm’s Open Source Engineering (OSEng) team to design, build, and maintain full‑stack web applications and automation workflows that generate Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs) and streamline open‑source compliance. You will work in a Linux environment, integrate with engineering tools, and collaborate directly with stakeholders across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support full‑stack web applications and micro‑services.
• Build and extend automation pipelines to optimise the open‑source review process.
• Integrate with engineering tools, troubleshoot issues, and script solutions in Linux.
• Gather requirements from end‑users, resolve problems, and provide support to compliance, legal, and product engineering teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
• Proactive, self‑directed, and detail‑oriented with a sense of ownership.
